Abstract

The research investigated how handball players demonstrate their tactical handball skills and team coordination abilities while assessing these skills between male and female players from different age groups and experience levels. The study assessed how tactical handball skills connected to team coordination abilities by examining how players applied their tactical skills during actual game situations. The study employed a descriptive–comparative and correlational research design which used a researcher-developed questionnaire to gather data from seventy participants. The instrument measured tactical handball techniques across six dimensions and team coordination abilities across six corresponding subconstructs, using a four-point Likert scale. The researchers applied descriptive statistics together with independent samples t-tests and one-way analysis of variance and Pearson product–moment correlation methods to analyze the research data. The study results showed that participants evaluated both tactical handball techniques and team coordination abilities at the "Agree" level. The mean scores for tactical dimensions showed that tactical game models and advanced tracking and pose estimation and positional and spatial tactics received higher scores because current training methods successfully combine tactical frameworks with spatial awareness. The study received positive evaluations for psychological conditioning and technology-based tactical adaptation, but these two areas showed reduced mean scores which indicate fields needing comprehensive reinforcement. The study found that team coordination abilities ranked higher for general motor coordination and role-specific coordination skills while fine motor control and sensory integration showed lower ratings which still remained within acceptable limits.
