Problematic Issues of Legal Regulation of the Media in Kyrgyzstan

Freedom of speech and free exchange of information are among the most important factors in the evolutionary development of society. The media plays a crucial role in the realization of these rights, and it is currently going through a complex stage of development. The rapid development of the media in Kyrgyzstan during the period of independence was initiated by the country's political course. The object of this study is the social relations related to the implementation of the state's legal policy on the legal regulation of the media in Kyrgyzstan. The subject of this study is the set of norms that regulate the legal mechanism of the media in the country. There are problems in legislative activity regulating the functioning of the information society in Kyrgyzstan, which suggests the need for legislative regulation of the degree of freedom of media activity.
