Abstract

Christianity in Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi is closely related to the transformations caused by capitalism and colonialism. While early missions followed a traditional station approach, later Evangelical missions prioritized teaching the Bible where people lived, emphasizing a personal relationship with Jesus. Churches in these countries ministered to the needs of the people, sometimes opposing colonial rule and later advocating for multi-party democracy. Despite challenges such as divisions and the need for inculturation, churches have contributed to national development, including education, healthcare, and political governance.
