Abstract

Evangelical theology emphasizes a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ, cultivated through prayer, Bible study, and worship, which shapes the social behaviour of its followers. Evangelicalism exists across Protestant and Anglican traditions, with Pentecostal churches being the fastest-growing and most numerous. Despite prioritizing individual salvation, Evangelicals engage in social outreach and promote self-worth, contributing to social and economic mobility. The influence of Evangelicalism extends into the political arena, with varying approaches from supporting the status quo to advocating for social justice, reflecting the diverse interpretations of faith within the community.
