Abstract

The organization of Christianity in Africa has grown from denominationalism inherited from the West, spreading through missionaries and local evangelists, with a proliferation of churches and interest groups. There is hope for continued unity within the Christian community through ecumenical relations, despite challenges such as denominationalism and competition. Christianity has a role to play in socio-economic contributions, political development, spiritual services, and the ongoing need to address concerns like inter-religious relations and social justice.
