Abstract

Christianity in East and Southeast Asia exhibits both Western influences and distinct Asian characteristics, reflecting a dynamic process of inculturation. Local architectural aesthetics have been incorporated into church buildings, blending Western and Asian design elements. While some Asian Christians embrace Westernized expressions of faith, others seek to indigenize Christianity, incorporating local cultural practices and musical traditions. Asian Christians are actively shaping their faith, drawing on indigenous worldviews and spiritual practices to create unique expressions of Christianity that resonate with their cultural contexts.
