Mongolia
Abstract
Christianity in Mongolia experienced a revival in the 1990s after the country transitioned to democracy. Protestant denominations, primarily led by foreign missionaries, experienced the most significant growth, with a large percentage of churches identifying as independent. Mongolian Christians have made strides in indigenizing their faith, composing worship songs and exploring contextualized approaches to ministry, particularly among nomadic herders. Despite these advancements, challenges remain in areas such as leadership training, theological education, and government relations, highlighting the need for continued growth and development within the Mongolian Christian community.
