Vietnam
Abstract
The Vietnamese Catholic Church, established through Jesuit missions in the 17th century, endured numerous challenges, including political turmoil, internal church conflicts, and severe persecution. Despite these setbacks, the Church witnessed significant growth, particularly after the arrival of French missionaries and the establishment of a Vietnamese hierarchy. Despite ongoing restrictions, the Vietnamese Church demonstrates resilience and continues to play a vital role in the country's social and cultural landscape.
