Anglicans
Abstract
Anglicanism in East and Southeast Asia exhibits diversity in its forms and development, influenced by historical and social contexts. While some churches achieved autonomy early on, others attained self-governance only in the late 20th century. Despite facing challenges such as political upheavals, persecution, and the pressure to conform to dominant religious norms, Anglicanism has demonstrated resilience and adaptability. The future of Anglicanism in East and Southeast Asia hinges on fostering closer relationships among churches, promoting missional cooperation, and navigating the complexities of interfaith relations in an increasingly pluralistic region.
