Orthodox
Abstract
While numerically small, the Orthodox Christian presence in East and Southeast Asia possesses a significant history and exhibits contemporary growth. The history of Orthodoxy in the region is closely linked to the influence of Russia, with the Russian Orthodox Church playing a key role in establishing missions and fostering the growth of indigenous churches. In recent years, the Orthodox Church has experienced a resurgence, attracting converts among local populations and witnessing increased interest from migrants from traditionally Orthodox countries.
