Abstract

Contemporary mission and evangelism in East and Southeast Asia are characterized by complexity and dynamism, reflecting the region's diverse religious landscape, socio-political changes, and the growth of Christianity. Ecumenical initiatives are increasingly vital in addressing shared challenges such as poverty, violence, and the rise of religious extremism, fostering interfaith dialogue and collaboration among different Christian denominations. Christian communities are navigating the complexities of terrorism, religious intolerance, and contested public spaces, seeking to embody a spirituality of resilience and engage in public theology that promotes peace, reconciliation, and respect for religious diversity.
