The Future of Christianity in East and Southeast Asia
Abstract
Christianity is rapidly expanding across East and Southeast Asia, driven by factors such as Pentecostal and Charismatic movements, indigenous house churches, and migration patterns. Christian communities are adapting by indigenizing worship, engaging in social justice initiatives, and utilizing digital technologies for evangelism and discipleship. The future of Christianity in the region will be shaped by the interplay of these forces and the ongoing efforts of Christians to contextualize their faith within diverse cultural and political landscapes. The trajectory of Christian growth underscores the dynamic and resilient nature of the faith in a region marked by religious pluralism and socio-economic transformation.
