Abstract

The study analyzes differences in the allocation of projects and financial resources granted by the North American Development Bank (NADBank) in the U.S.-Mexico border region. Using a quantitative approach, it statistically examines all projects financed by the bank between 1995 and 2024. The results show that, in general terms, there is a balance in the distribution of projects and resources between both countries; however, statistically significant differences are identified based on the sector of intervention and the specific state or entity receiving the funds. The study’s main limitation lies in the availability and accuracy of the information published by the bank itself. The research provides empirical evidence regarding the territorial and sectoral distribution of NADBank financing and contributes to a better understanding of its institutional performance. Taken together, the findings indicate a relatively balanced allocation of resources across the border region.
