Dynamic Audio Watermarking Based Anti-Piracy Algorithm for Secure Multimedia Distribution
Abstract
Digital media piracy is a problem when it comes to sharing videos and music on the internet. The usual ways of protecting content do not do a good job of finding out who is sharing it illegally once it gets out. This paper is about a way of putting a secret mark into audio that is just for each person who gets the content. The Digital Rights Management techniques we have now are not very good at stopping people from sharing content. The secret mark is something that people cannot hear. It is strong enough to still be there even if someone records the content again or compresses it. This new method is called audio watermarking. It puts a mark into the audio part of videos and music that is just, for each user. Digital media piracy and dynamic audio watermarking are important because they can help us figure out who is sharing content illegally. A database that helps figure out who is using a copied version of something can help the people who own that content find out who made the copy. When we tried this out, we saw that it really works to stop people from copying things without hurting how the audio sounds or how people can use it. The database-driven watermark identification mechanism is good for content owners because it lets them trace pirated copies back, to the user.
