The Design and Validation of a Satellite Camera Vibration Isolation Platform Supported by Multi-Strut Damping Rods
Abstract
An efficient passive bipod damping isolator is designed considering damping length and installation angle. Firstly, the mechanical properties of the single damping rod components are analyzed by the microelement method. Secondly, numerical models of a bipod configuration under two boundary conditions are developed to examine the effect of installation angle. Then, a satellite-bracket adapter component constructed with multiple damping rods is designed. Finally, the dynamic model of the satellite camera is established, and the performance of the vibration isolation system is verified through the finite element simulation and vibration experiments. Results indicate that the proposed multi-strut isolator achieves both high stiffness and effective vibration isolation. This study provides a theoretical basis and reference for the design of passive isolators with high stable and flexible support.
