Abstract

This article examines the institutional organization of measuring instrument verification in the Republic of Kazakhstan. It is argued that verification should be performed by KazStandard, the central state metrology institute, rather than by verification laboratories, which may act as interested parties. The legal, technical, and ethical aspects of this issue are analyzed.
