Abstract
The article presents the results of an original study on a group of anxiety disorders after a coronavirus infection. The issues of clinical characteristics and typology of these disorders are revealed, depending on the severity of the infection, the dynamics and prognosis. The study included 70 patients with a history of coronavirus infection. The patients were divided into 2 groups: the first group (46 people) with newly diagnosed anxiety disorders after COVID-19, and the second group (24 people) with a previously established psychiatric diagnosis (according to ICD-10: F32.0‑F42.0), who repeatedly sought psychiatric help due to increased alarming symptoms after a coronavirus infection. A set of psychometric scales was used to conduct the psychometric analysis: the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), the Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAM-A), and the A. M. Scale. The Beck Personality Belief Questionnaire for the assessment of autonomic disorders, The Asthenic Symptoms Scale (MFI-20), and The Beck Personality Belief Questionnaire. The results showed a clinically significant level of anxiety in both study groups. Classical panic disorders prevailed in the clinical picture of 28.3 % of patients in the first group and 41.7 % in thesecond group. The remaining participants (71.7 % and 87.5 %, respectively) had symptoms of generalized anxiety with severe autonomic disorders. Both groups had cognitive dysfunctions in the form of difficulty concentrating and concentrating, distraction, and a state of «fog in the head.» There was also a significant level of asthenic manifestations. In most cases, postcovoid anxiety disorders developed within a month during the convalescence period.
