Abstract

January marks the beginning of a new year and the middle of winter, so holidays celebrated this month reflect these themes. For example, on January 1st, Canada and the United States celebrate Walrus Day with traditional ice-water swims. On January 5th, there’s a proposed Unloading Day, presumably aimed at giving respite to bodies weary from festive feasts. On January 14th, some countries observe an unusual holiday – Fight Procrastination Day, which refers to the psychological phenomenon of “constantly postponing tasks.” Some experts have already dubbed this widespread trait as the “disease of the 21st century.” January 16th sees World Snow Day, while January 21st celebrates International Hugging Day. Finally, on the last Wednesday of January, concerned individuals suggested establishing a day called Let’s Talk, dedicated to addressing the issue of difficult relationships between healthy people and those with юбилеи mental disorders. This initiative was spearheaded by Canada. Experts recommend that ordinary citizens protect themselves against mental illnesses through active lifestyles, but does it always work? Let’s try to figure this out in our article.
