Communication problems in recruitment and regulatory mechanisms for their solution
Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of communication problems arising in the hiring process, as well as to an examination of the provisions of Directive (EU) 2023/970 in the context of its potential to eliminate informational misunderstandings between employers and job seekers. The focus is on the ways in which formalized requirements for pay transparency and recruitment procedures can contribute to improving the quality of interaction between the parties, reducing mistrust, and alleviating social tensions. The author views communication failures not merely as a technical mismatch of expectations, but as a social phenomenon rooted in structural asymmetries in access to information, power, and the ability to influence the terms of employment. Directive (EU) 2023/970 is interpreted as a significant step toward institutionalizing honest dialogue in the labor sphere, enabling a rethinking of recruitment as a process of partnership based on the principles of equality, transparency, and accountability.
