Modern aspects of parts processing on lathe group machines
Abstract
The article is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of modern technologies for processing parts on lathe group machines. Key technological operations, equipment classification from universal to multi-axis CNC machining centers, and the evolution of cutting tools are considered. Particular attention is paid to innovative trends: the use of hard turning, intelligent monitoring systems, combined tools, and integration into robotic cells. An analysis of factors affecting accuracy and processing quality is carried out, including the choice of cutting conditions, tool materials, and workholding systems. Based on a review of current research, promising directions for the development of turning in the context of digitalization and automation of mechanical engineering production are formulated.
