Specifics of equipment maintenance and repair under sanctions restrictions
Abstract
The article examines the problem of industrial equipment maintenance and repair against the backdrop of restricted supplies of original components. These difficulties have resulted in the disruption of supply channels for branded spare parts, software, and service support for many types of imported machine tools. For enterprises in the rocket and space industry, where equipment is often unique and operated for decades, this represents a critical challenge. The central aim of the study is to identify effective pathways for adapting the repair infrastructure of enterprises to the new economic realities. Research has been conducted on alternative logistics chains and methods for restoring the supply of components. The paper demonstrates how the withdrawal of foreign manufacturers affects the operational stability of production lines. The cessation of direct deliveries by foreign companies and the rupture of numerous logistics chains have created a critical dependence of many enterprises on imported components. In this context, alternative mechanisms for meeting repair requirements, which allow minimizing reliance on foreign suppliers, acquire particular significance. Tools such as parallel imports, reverse engineering, and the localization of spare parts production are examined in detail. The current state of the repair stock in key industrial sectors is analyzed. The study concludes that sanctions pressure stimulates the development of domestic production of analogues, despite temporary logistical difficulties. The article provides recommendations for optimizing repair processes, transitioning to scheduled preventive maintenance, and identifying suppliers from friendly countries.
