Abstract

Experience with current automated milking systems in parlors with different types of stalls and milk cooling and storage equipment shows that highly mechanized farms increase maintenance and repair costs. The objective of this research was to analyze the required investment in developing technical services in dairy farming in the Republic of Belarus. The investment required to develop and improve the milking and refrigeration equipment maintenance system on farms and complexes in the Republic of Belarus in accordance with the National Dairy Industry Development Program has been calculated in the article. It has been provided an approximate list of equipment, fixtures, devices, and specialized tools for installation, commissioning, and maintenance of modern milking parlor and refrigeration equipment, as well as consumption rates for materials and components for maintenance and routine repairs of milking systems and refrigeration equipment. An approximate cost estimate has been established for complete equipping technical service centers at district agricultural service centers and agricultural organizations in the Republic of Belarus, taking into account the cost of repair parts.
