Abstract

The purpose of the research was to establish the influence of phytobiotic feed additive separately and together with a prebiotic on the productivity of laying hens and broiler chickens. It was found during the research that the optimal dosage of aspen bark additive in the diet of laboratory animals was 40 mg/kg of live weight, which stimulated protective functions in the body to a greater extent, increased the level of hemoglobin and its concentration in red blood cells. A complex feed additive of aspen bark 40 mg and a set of herbs per 10 mg/kg of live weight, increased the average daily gain in live weight of replacement young chickens by 4.3 %, and the productivity of laying hens by 11.9 %. Broiler chickens that received an aspen bark additive of 40 mg/kg live weight with lactic acid in an amount of 0.5 ml /kg of feed had a higher pre-slaughter weight by 5.9 % and livestock livability by 5.7 abs.%. The best metabolic results in the body of laying hens and broiler chickens were observed in the group with the combined use of aspen bark with a set of herbs and a prebiotic. At the same time, the content of hemoglobin in poultry increased by 4.6–42.8 %, total protein by 3.0–3.7 %, total lipids by 1.7–27.7 %, beta-lipoproteins by 20.9 %, blood serum urea decreased by 6.5–12.9 %. The phytoprebiotic feed additive in the diet of broiler chickens contributed to an increase in slaughter yield by 1.4 abs.% and superiority in the development of muscle tissue by 6.8 %, skin with subcutaneous fat by 37.4 %, providing a meat and bone index of 3.34. Rearing broiler chickens with a phytoprebiotic additive reduced feed costs per unit of live weight gain by 5.3 %, increased the European Efficiency Index by 60 units, and the profitability of meat production by 2.4 abs.%.
