Influence of feed additives Mixodil on egg productivity of laying hens

In recent years, the Russian poultry industry has demonstrated impressive growth rates, having successfully overcome the crisis period. Highly productive crosses of laying hens were bred, laying up to 330–335 eggs per year, which is a significant achievement of breeders. Similar progress has been observed in broiler poultry farming where the average daily gain in live weight of broiler chickens increased with relatively short growing periods (36–42 days). Such high productivity requires the use of modern technologies and most importantly optimized feeding. Improving poultry feeding diets is a key factor in increasing the efficiency of poultry farming. The purpose of the research was to study the effect of the feed additive Mixodil on the egg productivity of laying hens. The results of the experiment of using the tested additive in the diets of laying hens of the cross Dekalb White have been reflected in the paper. During the research, the optimal dosage of the feed additive in the diets of laying hens was determined and the productivity and quality of the eggs obtained were analyzed. In order to carry out the research three groups of laying hens (control and two experimental) of 50 animals in each were formed. The hens of the 1st experimental group received the feed additive Mixodil 0.5 ml per 1 liter of water, and the hens of the 2nd experimental group received 1.0 ml per 1 liter of water. The poultry of the control group was not given this additive. During studying the egg productivity of laying hens, it was found that the feed additive Mixodil in doses of 0.5 and 1.0 ml per 1 liter of water had a positive influence on egg production and egg quality. At the same time, the best indicators were found when using the feed additive Mixodil at the dose of 1.0 ml per 1 liter of water.
