As três fases da imagem na prática artística da Companhia Bueiro Aberto
Abstract
In this article, I reflect on the journey of the collective I'm part of: Companhia Bueiro Aberto. I'll cover our artistic practices, political stances, class origins, and our recent historical references: the Núcleo de Comunicação Alternativa and the Associação Brasileira do Vídeo Popular. We can divide our artistic trajectory into three distinct phases. Each of these phases, in our understanding, can be linked to a form of writing that reflects how we learned to identify and leverage the power of images: the first as a pamphlet, the second as a serial, and the third as an essay.
