Estamos diante da imagem de outra mulher negra
Abstract
Based on the analysis of three artworks — Olympia (1863) by Édouard Manet, Portrait of Madeleine (1800) by Marie-Guillemine Laville-Leroux and an artwork by one of the authors — this essay explores the potential contributions of social markers of difference (such as class, race, and gender) to art historiography, particularly in the study of representations of the Black female body.
