Educação Ambiental crítica em tempos de emergência climática: critérios analíticos para reflexões e ações

Critical Environmental Education fosters a transformative approach by questioning the hegemonic societal model rooted in the capitalist system. This study, grounded in a bibliographic and reflective review, proposes three analytical criteria for evaluating Environmental Education practices from a critical perspective: (i) the promotion of an anti-capitalist society, (ii) socio-environmental praxis, and (iii) the ethics of environmental citizenship. This article also introduces a conceptual model that synthesizes the principles of Critical Environmental Education in the context of the Climate Emergency. By uniting awareness and action, Critical Environmental Education is established as a political instrument that reveals inequalities and strengthens pathways toward climate justice and social well-being.
