Abstract

The rising demand for electricity, coupled with supply constraints, has made the power sector increasingly complex.Renewable energy sources play a vital role in maintaining energy balance, and among them, hydropower stands out for its consistent and reliable performance under various operating conditions.Hydropower systems generate electricity by converting the stored potential energy of water into mechanical energy and subsequently into electrical energy. However, the development of largescale hydropower projects is not always practical due to geographical, environmental, and economic limitations. In such situations, micro-hydropower plants provide an efficient and sustainable alternative by harnessing energy from small rivers and streams.Improving the performance of micro-hydropower systems depends greatly on careful design optimization and component selection. This study focuses on enhancing plant efficiency by adjusting two key parameters: the bucket outlet angle and the speed ratio.Optimization of Bucket Outlet Angle and Speed Ratio to Enhance the Efficiency of a Micro-Hydropower Plant https://iaeme.com/Home/journal/IJMET72 editor
