ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND THE INDIAN CONSTITUTION: A STUDY OF ACTS PASSED BY THE INDIAN PARLIAMENT
Abstract
Climate change, which is the untimely, long-term change in temperature and weather caused by human activities, directly impacts the environment. It alters ecosystems and damages biodiversity, exacerbating problems such as floods, soil erosion, and desertification. To mitigate these impacts and maintain a healthy and robust environment, it is essential to adopt energy-efficient practices, prevent deforestation, use renewable energy, and adopt sustainable technologies such as sustainable agriculture.Climate change is a major issue in environmental law.In addition to specific environmental legal issues, climate change encompasses many other aspects of environmental law, including waste, air pollution, water pollution, natural disasters, deforestation, and biodiversity, all of which are related to climate change.Compared to other legal areas, environmental law and climate change law share a broad synergy.Actions taken to protect the environment through legal provisions will generally contribute to efforts to combat climate change. Thus, environmental law and legislation play a crucial role in environmental protection.
