Abstract
The article reveals the significance of neuropsychological approach in the complex correction process with children with severe speech disorders. The sphere of competence of a neuropsychologist allows overcoming various dysfunctions of mental systems that create obstacles to the successful process and socialization of a child. The article describes the conditions of neuropsychological examination of a preschool child, shows its importance for choosing a strategy of correction and developmental process. The described clinical case from the practice of a neuropsychologist allows to demonstrate its role and place in the system of diagnostic and correctional process, as well as to emphasize the advantages of using an integrated approach to the analysis of neuropsychological disorders, which is the purpose of this work. In the course of the study we used the questionnaire “Sensory Profile” by O.B. Bogdashina, as well as a modified version of the questionnaire. Bogdashina, as well as a modified method of neuropsychological examination by A.V. Semenovich. The article describes in detail the anamnesis, the content of diagnostic tests, and the neuropsychological aspects of the child's developmental peculiarities. As a result of a comprehensive examination, the child was found to have specific features in the development of sensory systems of hypersensitivity and hypersensitivity, with normal development of the cognitive sphere. Sensory dysfunctions can seriously complicate the child's daily life, disrupting his or her relationships with others, making it difficult to perceive new information, and creating obstacles in learning. In the described clinical case, the child's sensory developmental disorders impede speech development, causing a motor alalia-type disorder. The conducted work allows us to formulate conclusions about the necessity of an integrated approach to the evaluation of higher mental systems and child's speech development in order to choose the optimal strategy of their correction.
