Abstract
A comparative study of the effectiveness of two breathing techniques in correcting the psychophysiological manifestations of acute stress in medical students was conducted. The study involved 75 third-year students randomized into three groups. A comprehensive approach was used to assess the effectiveness of the interventions, with recording of autonomic (HR, HRV, GSR) and psychological (level of situational anxiety) indicators. It was found that the "4-7-8" technique induces a more pronounced activation of the parasympathetic division of the autonomic nervous system, while diaphragmatic breathing is more effective in reducing subjective anxiety. The obtained data justify the differentiated application of breathing techniques depending on the objectives of psychophysiological correction.
