Abstract

This study analyzes the current landscape of bioethics education and identifies key elements to be considered in educational practice based on ‘Evangelium Vitae’, with the aim of addressing the cognitive, emotional, and practical gaps that surround bioethical issues. Grounded in an understanding of the human person as the imago Dei, it emphasizes the need for an integrated educational approach that enables learners to recognize and embody the dignity of human life. The study proposes life-cycle–based curriculum design, critical-reflection–centered teaching and learning, and the integration of formal and informal educational experiences. By reframing bioethics education as a process of cultivating “bioethical literacy,” this study offers implications for the development of future educational programs.
