GERENCIAMENTO TÉRMICO EM SISTEMAS DE HIDROGÊNIO VERDE: DESAFIOS E SOLUÇÕES NO CONTROLE DE TEMPERATURA EM ELETRÓLISE E CÉLULAS A COMBUSTÍVEL
Abstract
The global energy transition has driven the development of sustainable technologies aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions, among which green hydrogen stands out as a promising energy carrier. Produced through water electrolysis powered by renewable energy sources, green hydrogen has significant potential for industrial, energy, and mobility applications. However, the performance and durability of electrolysis systems and fuel cells are strongly dependent on effective thermal management. Inadequate temperature control can lead to energy losses, accelerated material degradation, and reduced device lifetime. In this context, this paper presents a technical and analytical review of the main challenges related to thermal management in green hydrogen systems, addressing heat generation and dissipation mechanisms, thermal control strategies, and recent technological solutions. The findings highlight thermal management as a critical factor for improving efficiency, reliability, and long-term operation of green hydrogen technologies.
