Abstract

The effective onboarding of new employees is essential for the stability and success of organizations. Onboarding becomes a crucial and relevant strategy as it encompasses an induction into a socialization process that facilitates the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and cultural understanding, in addition to fostering interpersonal relationships. The objective focuses on determining the importance of Onboarding from the perspective of the collaborators of an industrial company in Paraguay. A quantitative, cross-sectional and descriptive approach was carried out. The population consisted of 185 participants and a sample of 89. A response rate of 91% (81) was achieved. Active employees who participated voluntarily were included as selection criteria. The survey was used through a questionnaire with 2 variables, 3 dimensions and 27 items (Sociodemographic [6] and Onboarding [21]: Pre-onboarding [5], Onboarding (1st day) entry [8] and Continuous Onboarding [8]) sent via WhatsApp for convenience in 2024. The most relevant results focus on the three dimensions analyzed, whose average were: Pre-onboarding (=3.61), Continuous Onboarding (=3.64) and Continuous Onboarding (=3.78). Likewise, the item with the highest score was OC2, "The knowledge acquired has increased since the induction phase" (=4.20), and the lowest was OP4, "The company provided a welcome kit" (=2.95). It is concluded that the effective adoption and implementation of Onboarding leads to increased motivation, talent retention, a sense of belonging, and work productivity.
