Abstract

India, with its significant demographic advantage, is poised for global recognition due to its large and youthful population. However, concerns persist regarding the effective utilization of this potential, particularly in terms of workforce preparedness. This research highlights the importance of vocational, skill-based education in addressing this challenge. Despite a growing demand for skilled labor across industries, a remarkably low percentage of the Indian population is engaged in vocational courses. This study aims to raise awareness, particularly among underprivileged communities, about the significance of vocational education and the employment opportunities it offers. By fostering vocational training, the objective is to enhance economic conditions while supplying industries with a proficient and job-ready workforce. The proposed approach investigates students’ inclination toward vocational education after secondary schooling. Using Artificial Intelligence (AI), the study predicts job placement outcomes based on historical data of students who have pursued vocational education. The work proposes the design and implementation of an Artificial Intelligence-based approach for predicting job placement through vocational education, validated through performance comparison with standard AI techniques.
