Abstract

The article presents a study on the effects of activated charcoal and a phytobiotic on the growth and quality of muscle tissue in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). Research conducted at Orenburg State University and the Federal Scientific Center for Biological Systems and Agrotechnologies оf thе Russian Academy оf Sciences, under fish farm conditions оn yearling trout, showed that the group receiving activated charcoal achieved the best results, with a weight gain 16% higher than the control group. The phytobiotic “HerbaStor” alone did not significantly affect productivity. The combined use of activated charcoal and the phytobiotic was moderately effective, yielding intermediate results. An important aspect was the confirmation of reduced levels of toxic elements, such as cadmium and arsenic, in the muscle tissue, which increases the safety of fish consumption.
