Abstract

The evolution of law teaching in Chilean universities, especially in the region of Coquimbo, and the dynamic legal and social scenario of the 21st century, marked by globalization and digitization, faces law schools with the challenge of adapting to the demands of flexibility and professional resilience. This article analyzes the perception of law teachers about the incorporation of active learning methodologies that contribute to the preparation of lawyers to face the challenges of 21st century society. Teacher perception is examined through a document review and a semistructured questionnaire. The results show a gradual transition from traditionally expository teaching to more interactive and participatory teaching practices. The constructivist approach to teaching law can significantly improve the preparation of students, developing critical and collaborative skills necessary to meet the challenges of the profession in contemporary society. The research highlights the need for teacher institutional support and training in line with the demands of the 21st century.
