Enhancing Performance in Monitoring ADHD Patients through 5G-Enabled Telehealth and Virtual Reality: A Mixed Study Approach in Smart Healthcare
Abstract
Recent investigations have identified correlations between adult Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) symptoms, and excessive engagement with social media, smartphone reliance, and internet dependency. Given the rising prevalence of ADHD, there is a critical need to optimize the management of ADHD patients through 5G-enabled Telehealth (TH) and Virtual Reality (VR) solutions. This academic article presents a mixed-method hybrid research approach, combining a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) rooted in metadata and conceptual analysis, with discussions involving twenty-one medical experts. The research thoroughly investigates the potential of 5G technology in conjunction with TH and VR, aiming to enhance the oversight of ADHD patients within TH and advanced healthcare solutions. This study aims to assess the feasibility and effectiveness of this innovative strategy in improving care quality for individuals with ADHD. It outlines the research design, data collection methods, and analysis procedures employed in the hybrid investigation, emphasizing the integration of qualitative and quantitative research approaches. By providing a detailed description of the mixed-method research approach, this scholarly work explores the potential benefits of utilizing 5G-enhanced TH and VR for monitoring ADHD patients in the context of intelligent healthcare. The research aims to highlight the integration of innovative technologies in healthcare, with a focus on improving patient outcomes and the efficiency of ADHD management. In addition, this study addresses the pressing need for innovative healthcare solutions, leveraging the capabilities of 5G technology, TH, and VR to offer more effective and accessible ADHD management strategies.
