Abstract

This paper presents Kinetrix, a compiled domain-specific language (DSL) designed to simplify robotics programming for educational purposes and rapid prototyping. Kinetrix abstracts hardware complexity while maintaining direct control over GPIO pins, sensors, actuators, and communication protocols. The language compiles to optimized C/Arduino code, enabling deployment on resource-constrained embedded systems including Raspberry Pi and Arduino-compatible platforms. We describe the language design, implementation architecture, compiler construction, and demonstrate its effectiveness through comparative analysis with existing robotics programming approaches.
