Abstract

The high-speed implementation of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) swarms in the conflict military space requires a routing and spectrum management (RSM) paradigm change. Conventional classical optimization methods are also in general, unable to exhibit computational fluidity to adversarial jamming and to high-velocity topological changes. The present paper suggests a Quantum-Assisted Routing and Spectrum Management (Q-RSM) architecture, which applies Variational Quantum Circuits (VQC) to maximize the multi-objective spectral allocation and path selection. The proposed model finds interference-resilient paths for stochastic variables of a tactical RF environment, which are classically intractable in highdimensional Hilbert space. The experimental findings of the simulated electronic warfare (EW) conditions prove that the QRSM framework yields a 22.4% decrease in end-to-end latency and a higher throughput stability as compared to the conventional deep reinforcement learning baselines. In this paper, it is proposed that quantum-assisted layers can ensure the survival of military cyber-physical systems of the next generation.
