Abstract

Abdominal aortic aneurysm represents a paradigmatic model of the evolution of vascular surgery. The Florentine School has made significant contributions to the biological, genetic, and clinical study of the disease and to the development of open and endovascular techniques, promoting a personalized, multidisciplinary approach with excellent outcomes.
