Règle pratique et nature humaine
Abstract
This article shows that criticisms of Kantian moral formalism, such as those relating to abstraction and rigour, often fail to address its specific approach to practical philosophy adequately. Its novelty must be demonstrated. By comparing it specifically with the philosophy of Christian Wolff, with which it is in opposition, the study sheds light on the development of Kant’s concept of practical rules. This provides a clearer understanding of the changes and debates that this development has provoked in contemporary thought.
