Abstract

This study utilizes the cultural gene map theory to explore the identification, extraction, and mapping construction of cultural genes in Huaxian woodblock New Year paintings. The paper initially outlines the conceptual framework of cultural gene mapping and its applicability to intangible cultural heritage preservation. It subsequently analyzes the diverse characteristics of Huaxian woodblock New Year paintings, identifies and extracts core cultural gene sequences, constructs a mapping model, and visually presents it. The resulting map unveils the inherent cultural codes and transmission logic, offering a foundation and route for their protection, inheritance, transformation, and sustainable development.
