Abstract

The youth generation, particularly university students, is currently susceptible to modern financial challenges, characterized by consumptive lifestyles, low financial literacy, and the growing threat of entanglement in illegal online lending schemes. Based on recent literature reviews and preliminary observations, robust financial planning has become imperative to ensure future financial security. This community outreach aimed to enhance practical financial planning literacy and awareness among students and the general public. The socialization method used is through hybrid webinars, conducted on Saturday, October 11, 2025, titled "1st WEBBFES 2025," which combined limited physical attendance at Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Manajemen Sukma with remote participation via Zoom. The material covered essential topics, including financial literacy, debt management strategies (the 30% rule), basic investment principles, and the importance of emergency funds. The effectiveness of the activity was quantified by comparing Pre-test and Post-test scores. Although the participant count (51 individuals) did not meet the initial target of 150, the analysis demonstrated substantial success in knowledge transfer. The average participant score increased significantly from 70 to 90, reflecting a notable improvement of 29%. This increase exceeded the predetermined success benchmark, thereby confirming that the relevant and solution-focused modules were well-absorbed, making a tangible contribution to the enhancement of the Youth Generation's financial literacy competence. The recommendation resulting from this activity is that similar programs should be scaled up and broadened in scope to reach a larger population of university students and the general public.
