Abstract

The article is devoted to one of the current problems of modern pedagogical science, namely, determining the significance of artistic pedagogy in the formation of the aesthetic culture of the individual in the conditions of the New Ukrainian School. In particular, the specifics of the application of artistic pedagogy in the educational process are revealed, and attention is focused on its role in the formation of aesthetic consciousness, value orientations, and creative activity of students. The main focus is on defining the essence of artistic pedagogy, interpreting it as a means of humanizing education, developing emotional intelligence, and forming the cultural identity of the younger generation. Based on the analysis of scientific sources, it has been proven that the aesthetic culture of a person is an integrative formation that combines aesthetic knowledge, artistic taste, the ability to emotionally and figuratively perceive, evaluate and create aesthetic values. The formation of this quality occurs primarily in the process of involving students in various types of art, which ensures the harmonious development of the emotional, intellectual, and spiritual spheres of the personality. It is also noted that art has a direct impact on the emotional state of the student, contributes to the development of his creative abilities, artistic and aesthetic experience, and ensures a harmonious combination of intellectual, emotional, and spiritual development. The article emphasizes that a special role in realizing the potential of artistic pedagogy is played by the teacher, who acts as a mediator in the creative process, creates an emotionally safe educational environment, and encourages students to express themselves. It is also emphasized that a modern teacher, teaching art in secondary education institutions, in addition to the basic complex of acquired knowledge, must demonstrate a deep understanding of Ukrainian musical culture at a high professional level and at the same time skillfully and creatively implement the acquired competencies into practical activities. It has been proven that art education contributes to the development of aesthetic consciousness, artistic thinking, creative abilities, and the ability to express oneself, which are important components of the harmonious development of a student's personality.
