Development of die forging technology of large disc forgings made of heat-resistant nickel EP742-ID alloy for reduction of macrostructural heterogeneity
Abstract
The ways to improve the quality of large forgings made of EP742-ID alloy to ensure the required macrograin size are presented. It is proposed the new process for die forging large disc forgings made of heat-resistant nickel EP742-ID alloy using relief dies, ensuring that the mechanical properties, macro-, and microstructure of the resulting disc forgings meet the required specifications.
