THE IMPACT OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC ON THE EDUCATION SYSTEM AND THE ADAPTATION OF DISTANCE LEARNING TECHNOLOGIES
Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the transition of the Russian education system to distance learning technologies, revealing both new opportunities and significant challenges. The article examines the features of emergency digitalization, the impact of distance learning on the quality and accessibility of education, as well as the difficulties associated with the technical provision and psychological adaptation of students. The prospects of mixed models and the role of digital infrastructure in the further development of education are analyzed. The COVID-19 pandemic has become a global challenge that has had a significant impact on all spheres of human activity, especially the education system. This study analyzes the transformation of the educational environment in conditions of forced isolation and restrictions caused by the spread of the virus. Special attention is paid to the introduction and adaptation of distance learning technologies such as online platforms, electronic resources, virtual classrooms and telecommunication tools. The degree of readiness of educational institutions, teaching staff and students to switch to distance learning is considered, as well as emerging difficulties and problems: insufficient digital literacy, technical failures, social isolation and reduced motivation of students. The advantages and disadvantages of new forms of education are analyzed, as well as possible prospects for further development of the education system in a post-pandemic world. The paper highlights the need for flexible learning models, digital transformation of educational processes and increasing the level of digital competence of teachers and students in order to increase the resilience of the education system to possible crises in the future.
