Abstract

The article examines the necessity of developing IT competencies of financial monitoring specialists in the context of digitalization of financial and economic processes. It is shown that the application of data mining and analytical methods for identifying signs of corporate bankruptcy requires not only the availability of advanced analytical tools, but also an adequate level of professional training to ensure correct model configuration and interpretation of results. The paper analyzes key data analysis methods used in bankruptcy diagnostics, including classification, clustering, and regression approaches. It is substantiated that insufficient IT competencies of financial monitoring personnel limit the effectiveness of early detection of pre-bankruptcy conditions and reduce the practical value of digital solutions. The study concludes that the development of interdisciplinary IT and analytical competencies is a key factor in enhancing the effectiveness of financial monitoring and strengthening economic security.
