ECONOMIC SECURITY OF THE REGIONS OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION IN THE CONTEXT OF SPATIAL ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATION

This article examines the economic security challenges facing regions of the Russian Federation amidst the spatial transformation of the economy. It analyzes the impact of agglomeration processes, digitalization, changes in economic specialization, as well as infrastructural and institutional factors, on the resilience of regional socioeconomic systems. A system of indicators and an integrated approach to assessing the level of regional economic security are proposed, which are used to develop a spatial typology of regions. Key economic, sociodemographic, infrastructural, and institutional threats that determine regional vulnerability and areas for improving regional policy are identified.
