TECHNOLOGIES AND METHODS FOR REDUCING PRODUCTION COSTS IN STONE PROCESSING WITHOUT LOSS OF QUALITY: WASTE MANAGEMENT, CUTTING OPTIMIZATION, AND ENERGY CONSUMPTION
Abstract
The paper is devoted to the study of technologies and methods for reducing production costs in the stone-processing industry without loss of product quality. The relevance of the research is determined by the traditional features of stone processing, including high material and energy intensity of production processes, a significant level of waste generation, and the simultaneous impact of market competition factors. The theoretical and methodological foundations of production cost management are examined with regard to industry-specific characteristics, key factors influencing cost formation are identified, and the feasibility of applying a systemic approach to cost optimization is substantiated. Particular attention is paid to waste management as a source of reducing material costs, optimization of stone cutting layouts based on expert and digital methods, and reduction of energy consumption through optimization of technological regimes and implementation of energy-efficient technologies. Based on the conducted analysis and systematization, a comprehensive production cost management model is proposed, integrating material, energy, and organizational-managerial elements. The results of the study may be used in the modernization of stone-processing enterprises and in the development of programs aimed at improving their economic efficiency.
